5 Helpful Tips for Taking Better Photos at Home

Today’s tip is for anyone with a camera! Momtographers, this is you! We encourage you to pick up your camera every day and capture the magic in the mess and chaos of everyday life. However, no one needs to SEE that mess, so here are some tips to help you get the best photos at home.

MOVE THE CLUTTER.

Toss the mess beside and behind your subject into a laundry basket long enough to take the photo.

FIND THE BEST LIGHT.

The cutest room might not have the best light. North and South facing windows are always winners.

SHOOT THE EVERYDAY.

Naps, mealtime, playing together, snuggles…get it all!

LOW APERTURE.

If you don’t know what this means, comment below and we will tag you when we do a post on aperture. It’s when the subject is in focus but the rest of the background is dreamy blurry.

SMART COMPOSITION.

Zoom in, get down low, and get creative!
